In a large bowl,
whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Make a well in the center and add the milk whisking until
just combined.
Whisk in the butter and vanilla until well combined.
In a
separate bowl, beat eggs until light and frothy.
Fold eggs into the batter a few times. The batter should be
streaked with the beaten egg.
Sprinkle the batter with the sugar and gently fold it in the
batter.
The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Put batter in refrigerator for at least 10-15 minutes.
Spray iron with cooking spray.
Pour enough batter onto
each waffle grid to cover generously.
Spread evenly with heatproof spatula.
Cook until waffles are golden brown and crisp on both sides
(about 5-6 minutes).
