Swiss Steak.........Lesley Pappa

 

Ingredients:
 
Round Steak - cut in serving sizes
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 Tbl. oil
1 clove garlic - minced
3/4 cup onion - chopped
1/2 cup green pepper - chopped

1 beef cube
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 Tbl. Worcestershire sauce
 

Instructions:
 

Mix flour, salt and paprika.
Dredge steak pieces in flour mix.
Fry meat in oil - remove from pan.
Fry onions, garlic and green peppers (add more oil in needed).
Add remaining ingredients and any remaining flour mix.

Break tomatoes into chunks.
Stir, simmer for a few minutes.

Add more of any ingredient per your taste.

To cook in crock pot:
Place steak in crock pot - cover with sauce.
Cook on low - 8 hours.

To cook in oven
Place steak in covered casserole - cover with sauce.
Cook at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
