Stuffed Grilled Trout..........Michael Pappa


 

Ingredients:
 
6 or 7 trout - cleaned and butterflied
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped red pepper
1 cup chopped onion
bacon - 1 strip for each piece of trout
salt
pepper
lemon

Instructions:
 
Cook bacon slightly - do not cook until crisp.
In separate pan cook green pepper, red pepper and onions until soft.
Place butterflied trout on cookie sheet - double layered with aluminum foil.
Stuff peppers, onions and 1 strip of bacon into each piece of butterflied trout.
Tie trout closed if desired.
Squeeze lemon on trout.
Salt and pepper trout per your taste.
Place trout with aluminum foil on grill.
Grill about 8 minutes each side.
