Stewed Chicken for Noodles..........Mom Franzen

 

Ingredients:
 
1 chicken - halved or quartered broiler
2 tbl. cornstarch (or more)
milk
yellow food coloring
salt
pepper
poultry seasoning

Instructions:
 
Simmer chicken with seasonings 1 hour until tender.
Drain in colander, cool take meat off bones.
Strain broth through fine strainer.
Cook noodles in broth.
Dissolve cornstarch in milk with food coloring.
Add to broth, thicken with cornstarch or thin with milk.
Add chicken, stir in noodles.
