Ingredients:
1 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1 egg 3/4 cup milk 4 cups flour 2
tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 cans fruit filling
Instructions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add 1 beaten egg. Add milk and
stir. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt. Work dough. Divide dough in half. Press 1/2 of dough in bottom of
jelly roll pan. Add fruit filling. Roll remaining 1/2 dough between 2 sheets of wax paper. Place remaining dough
on fruit filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Note: I use 1 can of cherry and 1 can of pineapple spread on
separate halves.
