Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans..........Lesley Pappa

 

Ingredients:
 
3 strips bacon
1 small onion - sliced
2 tsp. corn starch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 can green beans
1 tbl. brown sugar
1 tbl. vinegar
1 hard boiled egg

Instructions:
 
Fry and crumble bacon.
Brown onion in 1 tablespoon bacon grease.
Stir corn starch, salt and mustard into onion.
Drain beans, save 1/2 cup liquid.
Add 1/2 cup liquid to onion.
Bring to boil.
Blend in sugar and vinegar.
Slice egg and add with bacon for garnish.
