Ingredients:
 
Nutroll Mixture:
 
2 lbs. shelled walnuts (8 cups) - finely ground
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 tbl. melted butter
2 egg whites - beaten

 

 Dough:

 

1/2 lb. butter
2 pkg. yeast
1 cup warm water
2 tbl. sugar
4 cups flour
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt

 

Instructions:

 

Mixture:

 

Combine nuts, 1 3/4 cups sugar, 2 tbl melted butter and 2 egg whites.
 
Dough:
 
Dissolve yeast and 2 tbl sugar in warm water - set aside.
Sift flour and salt.
Cut in butter.
Add egg yolks and blend together.
Add yeast mixture.
Turn onto floured board and knead for 5 minutes.
Divide into 4 pieces - cover with wax paper - set aside for 15 minutes.
Roll dough into rectangular logs.
Spread nut mixture - roll like jelly roll.
Pinch ends and bottom seam.
Put on greased cookie sheet - bottom seam down - 2 per sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
