Italian Sausage Bean Soup with Pasta..........Lesley Pappa

 

Ingredients:
 

3 cups bowtie (Farfalle) pasta
2 14 1/2 oz. cans Cannellini beans
58 oz. chicken broth
1 14 1/2 can Italian sauce
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage links
1 cup chopped onion
2 large garlic cloves - chopped

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

 

Instructions:

 
In large soup pot, mix chicken broth and Italian sauce.
Add beans to pot.
Brown sausage, cut into bite-sized pieces and add to pot.
Fry onion until opaque.
Fry garlic for 1 minute.
Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper to pot.
Cook pasta and add to pot.
Simmer for 1/2 hour.
