Ingredients:
1/2 Recipe
3/4 cups Crisco
3/8 cup Crisco 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cups cocoa
3/8 cup cocoa 1 1/4 tsp.
cinnamon
1/2 + 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 + 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1 1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 + 1/8 tsp. cloves 1 1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 + 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. salt 4 cups flour
2 cups flour 4
tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup + 2 Tbl. milk
Instructions:
Cream Crisco and brown sugar together. Mix in all remaining ingredients. Work
dough with hands. Roll pieces into walnut sizes. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
(Until cookies lose most moistness).
Ice when cool.
Makes 70-80 cookies
