Ingredients:
Base:
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus Devils Cake mix 1 (21 oz.) can cherry fruit filling 1
tsp. almond extract 2 eggs - beaten
Frosting:
1 cup sugar 5 tbl. butter or margarine 1/3 cup milk 1 cup (6 oz.)
semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 15 x 10 inch jelly roll
or 13 x 9 inch pan. In large bowl combine base ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake:
jelly roll pan 20-30 minutes / 13 x 9 pan about 35 minutes - check with toothpick. In small saucepan combine sugar, butter
and milk. Boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour
over warm bars or cake.
Makes 36 bars
or 1 cake.
