Baked Chicken Teriyaki..........Lesley Pappa


 

Ingredients:
 
1 tbl. cornstarch
1 tbl. cold water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 clove garlic - minced
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
8-12 skinless chicken thighs ( 8 large or 12 small)

Instructions:
 
In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch, water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and black pepper.
Stir together and heat to simmer.
Let simmer until sauce thickens and bubbles - sauce will darken.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place chicken pieces in lightly greased 9x13 baking dish.
Brush chicken with the sauce/glaze. Turn pieces over and brush again.
Put in oven, brush every 10 minutes.
After 30 minutes, turn pieces over.
Continue brushing on sauce/glaze for 30 more minutes.
