4 1/2 cups (4 apples)
chopped, cubed
3 TBL. sugar
2 TBL. + 1 tsp. flour
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
Crust and crumbles: 2 cups flour
(scooped) 3/4 cup + 1 TBL. cold
unsalted butter cut into small cubes
1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 3 TBL. brown
sugar (add to topping)
Instructions:
Preheat oven
to 350 degrees. Grease 8x8 inch
pan. Combine crust
ingredients in separate bowls. Add apple
mixture. Add brown sugar
to crust mixture. Cool, cut into
bars. Note: Can line greased pan
with parchment paper to lift out cooked bars. |
